I have been receiving emails regarding the new decoder settings for AFN KORSAT 5 in the Pacific. Today AFN shut down the old transponder and you need to put in the most recent coordinates for your decoder. I have linked them both here for you to download at your convenience. If any fellow veterans still need help just contact me directly and I will assist you don’t waste money on a technician you might only need to reset your decoder as below.
AFN 7500HD:

Please see the settings above for satellite AFN7500HD setup in Asia. The two things that will need to be changed are the frequency and modulation type.. You will go into the Menu/Settings/Installation/Satellite Setup menu, Enter the PIN 0000, and continue. Once there you should see the satellite AFN PAC KSAT 5A, if it says something like Koreasat, then you will need to do a factory restart. See below. If it says AFN PAC KSAT 5A then enter the new settings in the attachment. Just like the example, but you want to change the modulation type to DVB S28PSK, and the frequency to 12470.
Factory Default: Go to the Menu/Settings/System, and click on Factory Default, enter PIN 0000 and continue. Using arrows to highlight the factory reset press OK.
